I got off Tuesday afternoon at 6 and have a done a whole lot of nothing since then. On Wednesday, I rested and also did several hours of continuing education. I renewed my license from my home state in the South and am now good to continue on this route through 2027, if that was needed.
Today, I found myself ready for another adventure. A need to GET OUT OF THE HOUSE. I googled several things around and ended up at the State Museum of Pennsylvania. 3 stories of history. It covers everything from indigenous tribes that lived in the area, the history of the National Road and the Pennsylvania Turnpike, a planetarium, and even a few dinosaurs.

I spent 3 hours roaming the halls with a bunch of school children. It was interesting to be a kind of tangential part of a field trip, but not be responsible of any of them.

I then took a 30 minute jaunt around the capital and the grounds. It was… 24 whole degrees while I was there. I found a snow pile from the plows, that stood taller than I am. I walked beside this Susquehanna River for a bit as well.

I took my lunch at a cute little Dominican restaurant downtown in Harrisburg called El Patio. Chicken empanadas are amazing, take my word for it.
Now I’m back where I’m staying, watching the Netflix version of the last Airbender and sitting cozy under my electric blanket and my huge Snuggie/blanket thing that my mother sent me. It even has a pocket and a hood. If a blanket could be a dress, with fleece lining and a hood. I’m officially not going anywhere again until I have to… tomorrow at 6 AM.
Working tomorrow and then off on Sunday to enjoy the Quatar GP! Who else is rooting on the glorious Max Verstappen?
Have a good weekend,
K., RN
