Today was the last work day of the week; the end of my first week seeing patients on the floor, but second week overall. Everyone has been very welcoming and kind. I still feel like I need to spend a while getting my feet underneath me.
I’m having the opportunity to work with a few populations that I’ve never had. I’m learning where everything is, and I will be happy whenever I can make it to and from work without a GPS.
I got my first paycheck from my travel adventure and that was lovely. Still a few expenses (like renewing my southern nursing license) left to go.
I’m packing tonight for a trip back to the south for Thanksgiving. That should hopefully be a safe trip. I’m nervous about what the shutdown means for air traffic, but we shall see.
Thanks for following along if you’ve come this far .
